Institut Georges Lopez, more often referred to as IGL, is a medical technology company specializing in the care of explanted organs and tissues.
At IGL, we design, manufacture, and market products classified as drugs or medical devices, and intended for the treatment of patients with chronic organ diseases. With years of expertise and experience, IGL is proud to be regarded as a key player in its domain.
IGL is headquartered in Lyon area (France), and consists of a network of subsidiaries located worldwide. This means we are never far from our customers and so can help them to meet their local challenges.

In the beginning, there was a patient… In 1987, Georges Gaston Lopez, received a kidney and liver transplant. Later, Georges Antoine Lopez, his son, founded Institut Georges Lopez (IGL), a company entirely devoted to donor organ preservation.
